1. Collection and Use of Personal Information
1.1. Account Creation
We collect personal information including your name, phone number, email address, password, date and time of account creation, and IP address used for account creation. We use this information to administer your account, enable access to the Jarvis Platform, verify identity, and implement security measures to protect against identity theft, fraud, and unauthorized access. If you register via a third‑party social network (e.g., Facebook or Google), you authorize us to access information consistent with your social privacy settings, which we use to administer your account and enable access to the Jarvis Platform.
1.2. Social Media
When you engage with Jarvis through social media websites, plug‑ins, or applications, you may allow us to access and disclose information associated with your social account (e.g., name, username, email, profile picture) to deliver content or as part of the operation of the website, plug‑in, or application.
1.3. Orders
We collect information about orders placed on the Jarvis Platform, including device IP address (to help protect against fraud and unauthorized access) and payment information via our payment processors. We do not store your full credit card details; only the first four and last four digits may be stored. For delivery orders, we collect the physical address to fulfill delivery and allow re‑use of addresses for future orders. If your order includes alcohol, we may verify government‑issued identification to confirm legal age.
1.4. Gift Cards
When you purchase a gift card, we collect payment card information via our payment processors to process payment, as well as the recipient’s email address and any message you include, to deliver and manage the gift card.
1.5. Order History
We may collect order history (date, time, cost, order type, address and delivery instructions, method of purchase, order details including items and special instructions) to ensure completion and improve services.
1.6. Marketing Communications
We may contact you about Jarvis, important changes to the Jarvis Platform, products, services, or your account. You cannot opt out of essential notifications unless you discontinue use. We may also send direct marketing communications (telephone, SMS/MMS, email, push notifications) where permitted by law or consented to by you. You can opt out via the unsubscribe mechanism in the message, or manage push notifications in your device settings.
1.7. Reviews
If you submit a review, the content and the given name from your account may be publicly displayed. You consent to our using such reviews in marketing or advertising materials.
1.8. Referrals
Referral features may require your name and email address and the recipient’s name and email address to send invitations. Do not submit email addresses of people without a personal or family relationship who would not want to receive the message.
1.9. Employment Opportunities
If you apply for a job, you may provide information such as a resume or similar materials. We use this information to process and respond to applications and manage working relationships.
1.10. Become a Courier
Applicants may provide contact information, driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration, proof of work eligibility, banking information, and other contractor‑related materials. We use this information to process applications and manage contractor relationships.
1.11. Apply to Become a Restaurant or Vendor
Applicants may provide contact and business information (often not personal information). We use this to process and respond to applications and manage vendor relationships.
1.12. Surveys and Customer Research
We may invite participation in surveys or research. Collected information is used in aggregated, non‑identifiable form to understand customers and enhance offerings.
1.13. Contests and Promotions
If you enter contests or promotions, we may collect your name, address, phone number, email, and other information to administer participation.
1.14. Contact Us
When you contact us, we collect the information you provide (e.g., name, email) and any additional details needed to respond. We may retain this information to assist you and improve our services. Voice calls may be recorded for training and quality.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
We and our service providers (including Google Analytics) collect information from your browser or device when you use the Jarvis Platform, such as IP address, location (when the mobile app is used), device identifiers, browser and OS details, language preferences, referring URLs, visit length, and pages viewed. We use cookies and similar technologies to understand engagement and improve experience. You can manage cookies in your browser or device settings, but disabling certain cookies may limit features. Some third‑party providers may use their own cookies. Learn more about Google Analytics’ data practices and opt‑out options on their site.
3. Interest‑Based Advertising
We use cookies and other technologies for interest‑based advertising. To learn more or opt out of online interest‑based advertising from companies participating in the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada, visit youradchoices.ca/choices. For mobile apps, use the DAAC AppChoices tool at youradchoices.ca/appchoices. You can also use platform settings like “Limit Ad Tracking” (iOS) or “Opt‑out of Interest‑Based Ads” (Android). Even after opting out, you may still receive ads (not interest‑based). Opt‑outs are browser‑ and device‑specific; deleting cookies may require re‑opting out.
4. Custom Audience
We may use third‑party platforms (e.g., social media and other websites) to serve targeted ads and may provide a hashed version of your email or other information for this purpose. To opt out, contact us at info@Jarvis.software. You may also be able to adjust ad preferences in your platform account settings.
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
Your personal information may be stored on servers inside or outside Canada and accessed by Jarvis staff or third parties acting for us for purposes set out in this policy. While outside Canada, your information is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be disclosed to government or law enforcement authorities. We take steps to ensure your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy. With consent, select third parties (e.g., marketing companies, affiliates) may contact you about products or services. Business transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions) may involve disclosure or transfer of personal information, provided continued use aligns with this Policy.
We may use or disclose personal information to comply with legal obligations or enforce our Terms, including for fraud protection and prevention. We and our service providers may respond to lawful requests (e.g., warrants) or share information to investigate breaches, prevent fraud, or as required/permitted by law. Personal information may also be used or disclosed for establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims, or to investigate or prevent loss or harm.
6. Safeguarding and Retention of Personal Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information and restrict access to personnel and authorized providers who need it. We retain information where we have a legitimate business need (e.g., while you have an account or to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations). Certain data may be retained to prevent fraud or future abuse or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., aggregated analytics or account recovery). Transmission over the internet is not completely secure; while we take steps to protect information, transmission is at your own risk. The Jarvis Platform may link to third‑party websites not governed by this Policy.
In the unlikely event of a breach compromising personal information, we will notify required authorities within 72 hours and use best efforts to notify affected individuals using the most current contact information we have.
7. Access to Personal Information and Withdrawal of Consent
You may request access to, update, or correct inaccuracies in your personal information, subject to legal exceptions. We may request information to verify identity and may restrict access as permitted by law. Upon request, we will remove your personal information from our records and delete it within seven (7) days, subject to technological and legal constraints.
For questions about the collection or use of your information, email info@Jarvis.software with the subject “Privacy Information Question.” Upon request, we can provide an electronic copy of your personal information, including: (a) what information we store; (b) where it is stored; and (c) the purposes for which we store it.
You may withdraw or modify consent at any time (subject to legal and contractual restrictions) with reasonable notice. If you withdraw consent to receive information about certain products, publications, services, or events, you will no longer receive those communications.
8. Links to Other Sites
The Jarvis Platform may contain links to websites or apps not operated by us. We strongly advise reviewing the privacy policy of any website you visit. We have no control over and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third‑party sites or services.
9. Children’s Privacy
If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your minor child has provided us with personal information, please contact us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from minors without parental consent verification, we will remove that information from our servers.
10. Updates to the Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is current as of the “Last Updated” date shown at the top of the page. Continued use of the Jarvis Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We may update this Policy from time to time; please review periodically for the latest information.
